100G Briefing Center

Light Reading opened a webpage called 100G Briefing Center (Spirent is a sponsor). The aim of this page is to concentrate all news article with regards to the 100G technology. It’s a pretty hot topic lately in the Network Equipment Manufacturer’s market.

100G is picking up and most major vendors now have 100Gbps-capable devices – if not necessarily for the throughput, but at least for the connectivity, which is a pretty big deal by itself.

Universities and research centers around the world are some of the first 100Gbps-capable networks in testing phase already or in the coming months. These customers need that kind of bandwidth because of the increase of data produced by modern super-computers or particle accelerators. The data produced is so huge that the mining of that data has to be shared, sometimes across continents… over a 100Gbps link.

  1. Hi Acastaner,
I’m arga student from Indonesia, and now i’m researching about network perfomance in femtocell backhaull. For traffic generator i use Spirent Avalanche Commander, and i have got result as realtime.csv.

And my question, how can i measure bandwidth from result in realtime.csv ?

    Thank You
