STE 1.10 released

The first official and public version of Spirent Test Expert (STE) has been released on the Support Website. There are almost 40 different test cases in that first release, including RFC 2544, RFC 2889, Cloud-oriented methodologies as well as some common attacks and Protocol Mixes (notably Service Provider and Enterprise). More importantly, this is 100% free. As long as you have the license to run the protocols included, of course (I don’t want to give anyone false hopes).

I will write about STE in the coming weeks, but for now you only have to admit it looks damn good. The screen below is a zoomed-out (yes, you can zoom in and out of the result graphs – Avalanche users will love this) view of a Service Provider mix running on two Avalanche Virtual ports, with a target load of 300 Mbps. I think it’s just damn sexy.
